Nissan officially took the wraps off the 2026 Rogue Plug-in Hybrid, and it looks quite familiar. If the appearance didn’t tip you off immediately, it’s a rebadged Mitsubishi Outlander Plug-in Hybrid. The revised grille pattern and different badging visually distinguish the Rogue Plug-in Hybrid from its Mitsubishi twin. However, that also means it looks radically different from the gas-powered Rogue, giving both cars two unique designs.
A familiar plug-in hybrid system powers the 2026 Nissan Rogue Plug-in Hybrid. It pairs a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with two electric motors and a 20-kWh lithium-ion battery. The result is 248 hp and 332 lb-ft of torque. AWD comes standard, as does seven drive modes. Drivers can also select EV, Save, or Charge modes, giving them more flexibility when it comes to using the electrified part of this system. Meanwhile, B mode or the e-Step function increases the strength of regenerative braking, but doesn’t turn it into full one-pedal capability.
In terms of efficiency, the Rogue Plug-in Hybrid has an EPA-estimated rating of 26 mpg combined. It also travels 38 miles in all-electric driving mode, 420 miles with a full tank and charge. A full charge from 0 to 100 percent on a level 2 AC charger takes 7.5 hours. Ever Rogue Plug-in Hybrid also includes a portable level 1 trickle charge cord.

2026 Nissan Rogue Plug-in Hybrid: Extra Versatility
The Rogue Plug-in Hybrid has the same three-row seating as its Mitsubishi twin. However, keep that third row only for emergencies or as additional cargo space because it’s quite small. There are 12.8 cubic feet of cargo space behind the third row or 30.8 behind the second row. Total cargo capacity behind the front seats is 64.7 cubic feet. All models come standard with the Nissan Safety Shield 360 suite of driver assistance features. ProPilot Assist 1.1 is also available, while a surround view camera comes standard.
Available in SL and Platinum trims, the Rogue Plug-in Hybrid has a standard nine-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and wired Android Auto. A 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster also comes standard. The Platinum trim adds a nine-speaker Bose premium audio system, a head-up display, heated rear seats, and a heated steering wheel. It also includes two 120-volt power outlets with 1,500 watts.
