2026 Polestar 4 Coupe Brings Mid-Year Tweaks

Polestar has announced some mid-year updates for the 2026 4, which now bears the coupe moniker. The standard Polestar 4 is officially the upcoming new body style scheduled to arrive before the end of the year. Unlike the coupe, that model has a more traditional SUV-meets-wagon shape and a conventional rear window. We expect that model to launch with an 800-volt electrical system, which could bring improved efficiency, driving range, and potentially more power.

So, what did the 2026 Polestar 4 get in addition to the coupe name? Two new exterior colors: Aurora and Ozone. The latter is also available in a matte finish. Taking a look at the updated configurator, the former looks like a silver-green combo with grey undertones to it. Meanwhile, Ozone may look similar to the recently discontinued Electron, but look closely, and you’ll notice that it goes heavy on the light blue. However, the matte variant tones down the brightness a little.

In addition, the announcement, which was posted on the official Polestar Facebook Community page, also highlighted suspension changes. Polestar says that it thoroughly revised the 4 Coupe’s chassis to improve ride comfort, body control, and steering feedback. However, the ZF-sourced adaptive dampers no longer come standard on the dual-motor model. To get it, you must now opt for the Performance Pack, which lowers the EPA driving range rating from 280 miles to 255 miles. Blame the wide and sticky high-performance tires and the 22-inch wheels for that drop.

We also got a hold of a nice little teaser for the 4 SUV on Polestar’s consumer site. You immediately see the wagon-like shape under the drapes, hinting at its more practical shape. It also appears slightly boxier and a smidge taller, though the front end looks identical to the windowless coupe model.
