Nissan officially took the wraps off the 2027 Rogue at its Vision Event in Tokyo, Japan. We must say, the latest generation of the brand’s popular SUV looks GOOD. It’s an evolution of the current model, taking plenty of cues from previous concept cars and new models alike. The most important thing? It still looks like a Rogue.
The 2027 Nissan Rogue retains its upright proportions. This time, it adds plenty of futuristic details like the headlights integrated into the grille and taillights that look like they have small individual LEDs embedded in them. Additionally, angular details add to the Rogue’s presence, giving it a modern, upscale look, especially in this two-tone gray and black exterior color. The cool black and silver wheels also elevate the overall appearance. Although Nissan did not show the interior, we expect it to evolve the current design and add new more features.

Quite possibly the biggest news lies under the hood. The 2027 Rogue finally introduces the e-Power hybrid system to North America after a long wait. This latest iteration is the third-generation system featuring a 5-in-1 electric motor and a 1.5-liter turbo-three working exclusively as a generator. That means only the electric motor turns the wheels, effectively making this a series hybrid. On the Rogue, the e-Power system adds a second electric motor on the rear axle, giving it AWD. Additionally, it marks the return of e-Pedal, Nissan’s version of one-pedal driving.
Since 2016, Nissan has sold over 2 million vehicles equipped with thee e-Power hybrid system. This makes it a globally tried-and-tested technology. More details will be released closer to the 2027 Rogue’s launch. We’re excited to finally have e-Power in the U.S. Nissan finally has a hybrid that’s poised to be a strong entrant in the compact SUV segment.
