For 2026, BMW celebrates 50 years of the 3 Series with the M340i xDrive 50 Jahre Edition. This limited-production 3 Series pays homage to the models that came before it. Additionally, it even comes with distinct exteriors and interiors from BMW Individual, inspired by the first five iterations of this iconic sports sedan. These metallic exterior colors are Ruby Red, Boston Green, Avus Blue, Carbon Black, and Sparkling Graphite. As for the interiors, Tartufo extended Merino leather comes paired with Boston Green, Avus Blue, and Sparkling Graphite. Ruby Red has an Ivory interior, while Carbon Black has a black interior. Meanwhile, red brake calipers come standard with Ruby Red, Carbon Black, and Sparking Graphite. On the other hand, Boston Green and Avus Blue have blue brake calipers.
All 2026 BMW M340i x Drive 50 Jahre Edition models come as a single loaded package. That means it comes with all available factory options and packages for the 3 Series. Additional standard equipment includes an M Performance exhaust system and a carbon fiber rear spoiler with a 50 Jahre Edition badge. Rounding out the exterior changes are dual-spoke bi-color 19-inch alloy wheels and shadowline tailpipe finishers. Inside, the 50 Jahre Edition features carbon fiber trim that also has a 50 Jahre Edition badge. Additionally, the front door sills and a metal plaque on the cupholder have “3 Series 50 Jahre Edition” inscribed on them.
Power comes from a 3.0-liter turbo I-6 with a 48-volt mild hybrid setup and an eight-speed automatic transmission. It makes 386 hp and 398 lb-ft of torque and can hit 60 mph in 4.1 seconds. However, since this is a BMW, we suspect those numbers are conservative. Power goes down to all four wheels via BMW’s xDrive AWD system.
