Kia has announced pricing for the 2027 EV9, and it remains a strong value. Starting at $56,635 for the Light Short Range, it comes well equipped. Standard features include 19-inch wheels, heated and ventilated front seats, three-zone climate control, Digital Key, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and dual 12.3-inch displays. The Light Short Range uses a 76.1-kWh battery and a single rear electric motor with 215 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. Meanwhile, it has an EPA-rated driving range of 230 miles. You can also choose the Light Long Range model with an EPA-estimated driving range rating of 305 miles thanks to a 99.8-kWh battery. However, this variant reduces output to 201 hp.
Our picks in the 2027 Kia EV9 lineup are the Wind, Land, and the GT-Line trims. All three have the strongest value propositions despite costing more. They come standard with the larger 99.8-kWh battery and a dual-motor AWD setup. Wind and Land models have 379 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque. Moving up to the GT-Line or opting for a performance software upgrade increases the latter to 516 lb-ft. For 2027, the Wind trim now comes with black 19-inch wheels and exterior garnishes. On the other hand, the Land variant now includes the Nightfall package, adding blackout details as standard. It also receives the torque boost from the GT-Line trim. The EPA rates the Wind and Land trims at 283 miles, while the GT-Line is slightly lower at 280 miles.
All told, a loaded EV9 GT-Line costs $73,635. That sounds high, but consider its premium appointments, which include heated and ventilated second-row captain’s chairs, a 14-speaker Meridian premium audio system, and Highway Driving Assist 2. Additionally, the EV9’s 800-volt electrical architecture enables it to DC charge extremely quickly on compatible chargers under ideal conditions.
