The 2027 Subaru BRZ arrives nearly unchanged from last year. Its biggest update? The latest EyeSight driver assistance suite, which comes standard on all models regardless of the transmission. Compared to last year’s version, EyeSight’s latest iteration adds a new wide-angle mono camera with a larger field of vision. Additionally, the tS now comes standard with rear parking sensors. As before, only models with an automatic transmission feature rear automatic emergency braking. Everything else includes a full suite of driver assistance features. This includes adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, and blind spot warning with rear cross-traffic alert.
For 2027, the Subaru BRZ has two trim options: Limited and tS. The former is available with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission. Meanwhile, the tS variant only comes with the stick. All BRZs feature a high-revving, naturally-aspirated 2.4-liter flat-four with 228 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque. A Torsen limited-slip differential comes standard on all models. Unlike the GR86, which receives some powertrain refinements for 2027, the BRZ does not.
Prices start at $37,385 for a manual-equipped Limited trim. Add $850 if you want the automatic (you don’t). Meanwhile, the tS starts at $40,015. Both models come standard with 18-inch alloy wheels, keyless entry/start, adaptive LED headlights, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and Michelin Pilot Sport 4 summer performance tires. The tS trim includes red BRZ badging on the headlights, Crystal Black Silica exterior details, blue interior contrasting accents, Cherry Red accents on the seven-inch digital cluster, and STI badges in the cabin. In terms of performance, the tS features STI-tuned Hitachi dampers and gold-painted Brembo brakes. The latter features a four-piston front and two-piston rear setup, as well as larger rotors and pads.
