Kia continues to offer strong value with the 2027 Niro. Available exclusively as a hybrid in five trims, all models are FWD. The base LX starts at $31,385. That gets you dual-zone climate control, 16-inch alloy wheels, keyless entry/start, and a full suite of driver assistance features. All models come standard with a 12.3-inch touchscreen featuring wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Moving up to the S trim, which costs $32,085, rain-sensing wipers, a 10-way power driver’s seat, and heated front seats.
Right in the middle of the 2027 Kia Niro lineup is the EX trim. At $32,885, this looks like the best value for money. It takes everything included in the LX and S trims and adds paddle shifters, as well as front and rear parking sensors. You can also add the EX Premium package for $2,000 extra. That includes an eight-speaker Harman Kardon premium audio system, a sunroof, and a power liftgate.
At the top of the lineup are the SX and SX Touring trims. The former costs $36,935 and adds projector LED headlights, laminated front windows, ventilated front seats, driver’s seat memory, and a heated steering wheel. It also includes all of the features from the EX Premium package, Digital Key 2.0, and Highway Driving Assist. Meanwhile, the range-topping SX Touring includes Highway Driving Assist 2, Evasive Steering Assist, a surround-view camera, and a 12.3-inch digital cluster. Additionally, the SX Touring includes 18-inch alloy wheels. All of that for a cool $40,485.
On the other hand, the powertrain remains familiar. The Niro uses a 1.6-liter I-4 coupled to an electric motor, a six-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, and a 1.32-kWh lithium-ion battery. Total system output is 139 hp and 195 lb-ft of torque. Regardless of trim, the EPA rates the 2027 Niro at 53/46/50 mpg city/highway/combined.
