2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee

2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee Revives Muscle Truck Genre

The muscle truck is back! The Ram 1500 lineup expands with the addition of the Rumble Bee. This performance truck returns to commemorate the Ram brand’s participation in the NASCAR Truck Series. Every Rumble Bee variant comes exclusively as a Quad Cab with a short bed and features an extensive list of upgrades designed to maximize fun.

Let’s start under the hood. The 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee only comes with a V8 engine. Three different flavors, in fact. The base model starts with a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 making 395 hp and 410 lb-ft of torque. Slotting above that, the Rumble Bee 392 and 392 Track Pack use a 6.4-liter V8 with 470 hp and 455 lb-ft. Not enough? The Rumble Bee SRT uses the Hellcat supercharged 6.2-liter V6 777 hp and 680 lb-ft, just like the bonkers Ram 1500 SRT TRX. All engines come paired exclusively to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

On the other hand, full-time active 4WD comes standard on all models and features a front axle disconnect button for rear-drive-only operation. The 392 Track Pack and SRT models feature an electronic spool differential that can electronically lock the rear axle and split torque evenly between the two rear tires. You can also upgrade to an asymmetric limited-slip differential on the 392 models. SRT variants have it as standard, but tuned for track duty.

2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee: Tuned for Handling

Unlike the TRX, the Rumble Bee is a street truck. It features a modified frame that’s 13 inches shorter, reducing flex by 10 percent. Most components were also shortened to accommodate the quad cab/short bed layout. This is complemented by an independent front suspension and a solid rear axle featuring Ram’s five-link coil spring setup. On the Rumble Bee and Rumble Bee 392, the front uses a short-long arm design, giving it a 6.8-inch wider track width for added stability. Meanwhile, the rear axle is 7 inches wider, improving handling. Standard Bilstein monotube shocks and more robust front and rear anti-roll bars help keep the trucks stable on the road.

Stepping up to the Rumble Bee 392 and SRT models brings a standard air suspension with a firmer tune. This further improves handling over the standard Rumble Bee and Rumble Bee 392 without sacrificing ride comfort. It can also lower the truck by 1.5 inches in track mode. To further differentiate the top two models, the Track Pack and SRT include Bilstein Damptronic Sky dual-valve semi-active performance shocks. These constantly adjust damping forces for precise, independent control of compression and rebound. When combined with performance tires, they improve skid pad performance by 20 percent over the entry-level Rumble Bee with 0.89 g of lateral grip.

When it comes time to stop, the Rumble Bee models bring the goods. The base and 392 models feature 14.9-inch vented front brake discs with 2.2-inch two-piston calipers, while the rear has 14.8-inch discs with single-piston pin-slider calipers. On the Track Pack and SRT models, the front brakes are upgraded to massive 16.1-inch Brembos with six-piston calipers.

Designed For Performance

The Rumble Bee’s exterior design includes many functional details. These include aero components like a 4.5-inch front splitter and, on the top two variants, a rear spoiler. Both are designed to improve cooling for critical components and generate more downforce. Additionally, the Track Pack and SRT variants have a trifold hard tonneau cover option that helps better manage air flow and generate more downforce at the rear.

To further distinguish the Rumble Bee, it has a more aggressive front grille, premium exterior LED lighting, and widebody fenders. It also features body-colored fender flares and bumpers. Want your truck to pop even more? Add the bedside graphics or the Black Top package. Track Pack and SRT models add functional air intakes, which make it look even more menacing. All models come standard with 22-inch alloy wheels.

2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee: Sporty and Comfortable

Inside, the Rumble Bee doubles down on the sport truck vibes with unique Greystone stitching and a flat-bottom steering wheel. The 392 adds Prowler Yellow stitching and unique start-up graphics on the standard 12.3-inch digital cluster. Certain models also include Desert Orange stitching throughout the interior. For added comfort, the 392 model has cloth 10-way power front seats, while the 392 Track Pack and SRT upgrade to 12-way thrones trimmed in leather and suede.

In terms of screens, the base model comes standard with an 8.4-inch touchscreen or a larger 12-inch unit on the 392 models. Meanwhile, the SRT has a massive 14.5-inch touchscreen. The 392 and SRT variants also include a head-up display. A 12-speaker Alpine premium audio system comes standard on the 392 and 392 Track Pack, while the SRT has a 19-speaker Harman Kardon unit. A full suite of driver assistance features comes standard on the Track Pack and SRT, and is an option on the 392.
