Bentley Continental GT S Sharpens Its Electrified Performance

Bentley’s latest-generation Continental GT lineup grows once again. Following the highly exclusive Supersports, the Bentley Continental GT S and GTC S arrive with a sharper edge. Under the hood, you’ll find a plug-in hybrid powertrain centered around a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8. It now comes with a bit more aural drama thanks to its sports exhaust system. Meanwhile, total output checks in at a whopping 671 hp and 686 lb-ft of torque. This allows the Continental GT S to hit 60 in 3.3 seconds on the way to a top speed of 190 mph. And since it’s a plug-in hybrid, it can also travel 50 miles in EV mode before the gas engine kicks in.

A highly sophisticated chassis complemented the electrified power of the Bentley Continental GT S. It comes with the Bentley Performance Chassis. This includes Active AWD, twin valve dampers, and torque vectoring. That last feature can shift torque front to rear and from side to side across each axle. Additionally, the chassis suite includes Bentley Dynamic Ride active anti-roll system, a new ESC control software, all-wheel steering, and an electronic limited-slip differential. Altogether, these features make this setup Bentley’s most driver-focused AWD configuration, designed for maximum handling and fun. Moreover, it allows the driver to access a wider range of driving modes and behaviors. The ESC’s Dynamic mode, for instance, allows more rear axle slip. You can turn the system off completely, too.

Bentley Continental GT S: Sporty Looks Mean Business

To back up all of that performance, the Continental GT S and GTC S double down on the sporty looks. The Blackline Specification adds a dark front lower spoiler, gloss black matrix grille, and blackout logos and badges. What’s more, Beluga Black sill extensions, side mirror covers, and rear diffuser add to its sinister look. It even shares dark-tinted LED matrix headlights with the GT Speed, all while complementing the dark-tinted taillights and exhaust finishers. Standard silver 22-inch ten swept-spoke alloy wheels add contrast. You can also double down on the blackout look with gloss black wheels with bright machined facing or gloss black surfaces.

Inside, the sporty theme continues with two-color upholstery and a fluted seat design. On the other hand, the Continental GT S and GTC S feature Dinamica technical fabric throughout the cabin, including the steering wheel, door inserts, seats, and gear selector. Additionally, Piano Black veneer echoes the Blackline Specification’s blackout details. Bentley also offers other finishes, including high-gloss carbon fiber, full leather upholstery, and dark-tinted chrome accents.
