The Hyundai Concept Three previews the fourth member of the Ioniq family. This compact all-electric vehicle is inspired by sustainability, urbanization, and the growing need for space-efficient solutions. Based on its design, this Concept Three looks future-forward yet youthful. It features the same distinct face as the Ioniq 9, just applied on a compact vehicle. From the pixel-themed lighting to the thin LEDs up front, this car belongs in the Ioniq family. It even includes four square dots up front, which is Hyundai in Morse code.
Everything else about the Hyundai Concept Three looks reminiscent of the Veloster. From the coupe-like side profile to the abrupt rear end, this car screams sporty. If that’s not enough, the car has a transparent neon yellow ducktail spoiler to tell you that. Inside, the Concept Three has the typical minimalist layout and pixels galore. It even includes a pixel pattern with a smiley face on the steering wheel! The dash also has two sets of four cubes on each side of the steering wheel, and a ghost emoji. Meanwhile, two-tone tan and yellow add to the youthful tone. Its interior also makes extensive use of sustainable materials, including ocean waste textiles and lightweight aluminum foam.

Hyundai Concept Three: For Europe Only
The Hyundai Concept Three is clearly geared towards the European market. After all, hatchbacks don’t sell in crossover-crazed America. However, they may label it one just for the sake of marketing and expanding its appeal. If that’s the case, the production version, likely called the Ioniq 3, could potentially make it to North America.
In terms of powertrains, expect the production Ioniq 3 to launch with a single-motor FWD configuration. AWD dual-motor models should follow. Battery options should include a 58.3 or an 81.4-kWh pack. However, unlike the Ioniq 5, 6, and 9, the Ioniq 3 will likely have a 400-volt charging architecture. That should allow it to DC charge from 10 to 80% in 30 minutes under ideal conditions.
