Dodge has opened the order books for the 2027 Charger Daytona. Yup, you read that right, you can now order the 2027 model. Prices start at $74,490, making it one of the more expensive models in the Charger family, including the gas models. Want two additional doors? The sedan costs $500 more than the coupe, which is fairly reasonable. For 2027, the Charger Daytona ditches the J1772 and CCS1 charging ports. Instead, the car now comes with the NACS charging port from the factory. It also comes standard with a J1772 adapter. However, Dodge did not disclose whether a CCS adapter is also included with the car.
The 2027 Dodge Charger Daytona carries over essentially unchanged. That means it only comes in the Scat Pack variant, which has dual-motor AWD. Yes, it still has the Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust that emulates muscle car noises. In total, the car has 630 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque. Activate the Power Shot feature, and the former increases to 670 for 10 seconds. The Charger Daytona also comes with several drive modes, including Sport, Track, Drag, and Custom. Additionally, it includes Drift/Donut mode, Launch Control, and race-prep options. Maximum driving range stands at 267 miles, but expect that to drop if you opt for larger wheel sizes.
Using a level 3 DC charger, the Charger Daytona can go from 5 to 80% in 32.5 minutes, provided you plug into a 350-kW stall. Expect longer charge times at less powerful stations. Peak charging rate stands at 183 kW under ideal conditions. Meanwhile, the car uses a 100.5-kWh battery pack with a usable capacity of 93.9 kWh and a 400-volt architecture. The Charger Daytona has an 11-kW onboard charger, allowing it to AC charge from 5 to 80% in 6.8 hours under ideal conditions.
