We knew that the updated 2026 Toyota bZ brought a performance boost to this compact SUV. At the 2025 SEMA Show, the automaker took it up to 11. Meet the Toyota bZ Time Attack AWD Concept, which explores the potential of EVs for motorsport applications. It’s also Toyota’s first-ever EV SEMA concept build, and it has conquering circuits and hill climbs on its agenda.
The Toyota bZ Time Attack AWD Concept starts life as a standard dual-motor 2026 model. That means it has a total of 338 system horsepower and hits 60 mph in 4.9 seconds, completely stock. From there, Toyota’s research and development team, alongside TRD and its suppliers, went all out.

Using CAD development and 3D printing, the automaker created this concept. In comparison to the standard bZ, the Time Attack AWD Concept has been lowered by six inches. It also includes a six-inch track increase and an integrated aero package. The latter includes a massive rear wing, side skirts, a front splitter, and a rear diffuser. Moreover, it comes finished in a cool white, black, and red tri-color theme, too.
Most importantly, the Toyota bZ Time Attack AWD Concept goes beyond aero upgrades and a lowering kit. It matches all that with more power and a thoroughly updated chassis, too. This thing has over 400 total system horsepower thanks to a bespoke ECU calibration. It complements the added power with TEIN coilovers and springs, as well as brakes adapted from the Toyota 86 Cup and Corolla TC race programs. Additionally, it features a full FIA-spec 4130 chromoly cage that stiffens the chassis, and OMP HTE-R racing seats with OMP harnesses. Finally, it rounds it all off with 19×11 BBS Unlimited wheels shod in Continental Extreme Contact 02 tires sized 305/30ZR19 XL for maximum grip.
