Automakers continue to keep the prices of battery-electric vehicles in check. The latest to stay the course is the 2027 Kia EV6. For the new model year, Kia stayed the course after last year’s price drop. A base Light Standard Range with the 63-kWh battery starts at $39,445. Meanwhile, the Light Long Range with the 84 kWh battery costs $42,745. The Light Standard Range model features a single rear electric motor with 168 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque.
We think skipping the smaller battery is the way to go on the 2027 Kia EV6. The Long Range models have 225 hp and 258 lb-ft on single-motor RWD variants. They also travel farthest, with an EPA-estimated driving range rating of 319 miles. On the other hand, the dual-motor AWD variants add a front motor, increasing output to 320 hp and 446 lb-ft. Driving range varies based on trim. Light and Wind models are EPA-rated at 295 miles, while the GT-Line AWD checks in at 270 miles. Only the AWD models include a heat pump. All 2027 EV6s feature an 800-volt electric system. That allows it to DC charge from 10 to 80 percent in around 20 minutes under ideal conditions when plugged into a compatible charging station.
Every EV6 comes with a long list of standard features. All models come standard with the Kia Drive Wise suite of driver assistance technologies and dual 12.3-inch displays. Certain trims also include features like a surround-view camera system, a head-up display, hands-free power liftgate, and Digital Key. The GT-Line trim also features a Meridian premium audio system and Remote Smart Parking Assist 2.
All told, a fully loaded EV6 costs just under $55,000. That’s for a fully loaded GT-Line trim with AWD. Don’t want AWD? A rear-drive GT-Line model costs $50,245.
