2027 Mazda CX-5 Keeps Prices Steady, Still No Hybrid Option

Mazda keeps the 2027 CX-5 a strong value by keeping the price tag in check. Yep, the 2027 lineup’s price carries over completely unchanged. The base 2.5 S trim starts at $31,585. This includes a 12.9-inch touchscreen, wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, Google Built-In with Google Gemini AI, and a full suite of driver assistance features.

Moving up to the 2.5 S Select trim adds even more value to the 2027 Mazda CX-5. It adds extra standard features wireless charging, wireless smartphone mirroring, and rear seat air vents. That increases the price tag to $33,735. However, our pick for the best value is the 2.5 S Preferred trim. This adds a power liftgate, 19-inch wheels, a head-up display, heate front seats, a heated steering wheel, and power-adjustable front seats. All for a cool $36,145.

The 2.5 S Premium trim further builds on the Preferred. It includes black metallic 19-inch alloy wheels, adaptive headlights, a panoramic sunroof, heated rear seats, a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system, and additional USB ports. At this point, we suggest going whole hog with the 2.5 S Premium Plus trim. That adds a massive 15.6-inch touchscreen, a surround-view camera, additional driver assistance features, paddle shifters, hands-free power liftgate operation, and more. All that costs $41,035. Premium exterior color options tack on $595. Yes, Mazda’s Soul Red Crystal remains available!

For the moment, the 2027 CX-5 only has one powertrain option. It uses a familiar naturally aspirated 2.5-liter I-4 with 187 hp and 186 lb-ft of torque. Meanwhile, a six-speed automatic remains the only transmission option. Every trim also comes standard with i-Active AWD. Mazda is expected to introduce a hybrid variant soon, featuring a system it developed in-house. However, the automaker has not provided a timeline for its arrival in North America.
