Maserati Lineup Receives Major Updates

The Maserati lineup has received some big changes. The performance-focused GranTurismo and GranCabrio receive a new front fascia with reshaped air intakes. They now include an external air curtain and a central splitter that improves downforce. In the back, the taillights have clear lenses. As part of the Fuoriserie collection, seven new exterior colors are now available, including Jupiter Green Matte, Blu Denim, and Rosso Velluto. For the interior, Bordeaux leather and mahogany wood trim are now available. Finally, the new Tridente wheels widen the track by 10 mm for added stability and precision.

Inside, both the Maserati grand tourers feature a new squared-off steering wheel. Meanwhile, the digital clock now includes a metal bezel, an octagonal shape, redesigned graphics, and a pop-up function for mode changes. In terms of tech, the 12.2-inch main touchscreen and 8.8-inch secondary central display now have new graphics. Additionally, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, a head-up display, and a new driver monitor camera are also available.

Under the hood, the gas models feature more power. The 3.0-liter Nettuno twin-turbo V6 gains 40 hp on the Trofeo models, raising its total output to 590. On the other hand, the all-electric Folgore models return with the same 92.5-kWh battery, an 800-volt electrical system, and tri-motor setup. Power stands at 760 hp for continuous output. A boost function bumps that up to 1,200 hp for short periods. A driveline disconnect feature allows the GranTurismo and GranCabrio models to operate in RWD mode. Furthermore, a new energy management algorithm improves the driving range to 540 km or 335 miles. Expect less than 300 miles on the more conservative EPA cycle. Additionally, the Folgore model adds two new drive modes: Max Range and GT. Meanwhile, all models receive Country mode, which raises the ride height by 20 mm.

Maserati Grecale Gains More Variants

Need something with four doors but with an Italian performance pedigree? The Grecale arrives with a fresh front end that has a more pronounced shark nose look. It also features reshaped functional air curtains that channel air flow along the wheel arches, and two new wheel options: the 20-inch Asteria and 21-inch Crono. However, the big news is the expanded availability of the Nettuno 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6. The base and Modena variants are now offered with a detuned version, making 390 hp.

Meanwhile, the Grecale Folgere improves its range thanks to a new Air Grille Shutter system. This improves air flow over the front bumper and underbody. New energy management algorithms and more efficient tires also help improve driving range. On models with the 20-inch wheels, the all-electric model’s driving range increases by 9 km or around 5.5 miles. On the other hand, vehicles with 21-inch wheels see a bigger increase of 53 km or roughly 33 miles. Like its sports car siblings, expect the Grecale Folgore’s EPA ratings to change only a few miles.
