Honda’s Zero Series lineup just grew with the introduction of a third model at the 2025 Japan Mobility Show. Although it’s technically a concept, the Honda 0 Alpha looks closer to production than the two vehicles that preceded it. Although there isn’t much info about this car, Honda says that it will beautifully blend with urban and natural environments. In other words, this car is designed for active lifestyles, just like every other SUV on the market.
Slotting below the 0 SUV and 0 Saloon when it goes into production, the Honda 0 Alpha serves as the entry point. Think of it as the gateway model to Honda’s Zero Series lineup. Despite its small size, the 0 Alpha promises a spacious cabin with outstanding occupant comfort. Additionally, Honda developed it using the Thin, Light, and Wise approach, like the other Zero Series cars. As a result, the 0 Alpha has a low height, wide stance, and generous ground clearance.

In terms of exterior styling, the Honda 0 Alpha is essentially a shrunken 0 SUV. That means a boxy rear end meets a sleek front end. Yes, the massive C-pillar from the larger SUV also carries over to the smaller Alpha model. It also has full-width light bars up front and in the rear, the latter of which has a U-shaped pattern. However, unlike its larger siblings, the 0 Alpha looks more production-ready than its siblings. Standard side mirrors and reasonably sized alloy wheels hint at this, too, implying that this little SUV is quite close to production.
The Honda 0 Alpha will be the fourth battery-electric vehicle in Honda’s lineup and the fourth in-house model on a dedicated platform. Currently, the automaker only sells the Prologue in North America, which is closely related to the Chevrolet Blazer EV.
