2026 Subaru Outback

2026 Subaru Outback Starts at $36,445

Pricing for the all-new 2026 Subaru Outback is out, starting at $36,445 for the base Premium trim. That includes a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and the full EyeSight driver assistance suite. Additionally, it includes a 12.1-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as a power driver’s seat. An optional package adds wireless charging, a heated steering wheel, and a moonroof.

Moving up to the Limited trim at $43,165 gets you a lot more features. Leather seats, built-in navigation, a Harman Kardon premium audio, a power front passenger’s seat, and heated outboard rear seats? All included, along with all the features from the optional package found on the Premium trim.

Meanwhile, the Touring trim adds ventilated front seats, a surround view camera system, and Nappa leather seats. Additionally, the Outback Touring expands the EyeSight suite with hands-free driver assistance capability on the highway. Pricing for this model starts at $46,845.

The 2026 Subaru Outback carries over the same powertrains as its predecessor. Standard models use a 2.5-liter flat-four with 180 hp and 178 lb-ft of torque. The XT and Wilderness models utilize a 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 260 hp and 277 lb-ft of torque. All models come standard with Subaru’s Symmetrical AWD system and a CVT. XT models also include 19-inch alloy wheels and dual exhaust outlets. The Limited XT also includes similar features to the non-turbo Touring model.

2026 Subaru Outback: Into the Wild

Looking to go far out into the unknown? The Outback Wilderness has all the tools you need. It comes with 9.5 inches of ground clearance, nearly an inch more than the standard Outback, 17-inch alloy wheels with Bridgestone Dueler all-terrain tires, electronically controlled dampers, and improved approach, departure, and breakover angles.

This will cost you, though. At $46,445, it’s the second most expensive model in the lineup. Should you load it up with optional extras, the Outback Wilderness will run you $50,535. That’s $1,090 more than the Touring XT model. The 2026 Outback arrives at dealers later this year, with the standard model arriving first, followed by the Wilderness in early 2026. Unlike its predecessor, assembly of the 2026 model will take place in Subaru’s plant in Gunma, Japan.
