2026 Ford Mustang Mach-E adds California Special

Ford has tapped into its pony car heritage to bring some retro flair to its all-electric crossover SUV. The 2026 Ford Mustang Mach-E California Special pays tribute to the 1960s. Like a similar two-door special edition, it features plenty of Rave Blue accents from the wheels to the exterior badges. California models also include gray 20-inch alloy wheels with aero wheel covers and a GT/CS logo and a special hood graphic supposedly inspired by the California coastline. It even has a pony emblem that lights up in Rave Blue! Plus, the badges all have a special font, specifically for the California Special.

Inside, the 2026 Ford Mustang Mach-E California Special goes all in on blue. The performance seats have Navy Pier ActiveX upholstery with blue and silver reflective stripes. Meanwhile, the steering wheel and center console have a navy ActiveX upholstery. Finally, the Mach-E California Special’s floor mats match the seats with blue and silver stitching.

The California Special model is based on the GT trim. That means it features two electric motors with a combined output of 480 hp and 700 lb-ft of torque. In terms of driving range, the EPA rates the California Special at 280 miles, the same as the Mach-E GT. From the looks of it, the Performance upgrade appears to be included on the California Special, too, plus Brembo front brakes and Magnetic dampers.

Want to add this package to your Mach-E GT? You’ll need to shell out an extra $2,495. However, that also means you’ll pay over $55,000 for this stylish SUV. That’s because the standard Mach-E GT already costs $53,395. Meanwhile, the standard Mach-E starts at $37,795, with cars arriving in the first quarter of 2026. The lowest sticker price should be for the standard battery and the base Select trim.
