Chevrolet is using the 2027 Traverse to debut some updated design details for the High Country trim. In addition, these details will find their way to other models with a High Country variant, including the new Silverado 1500. These include a new High Country badge on the front doors and liftgate. Meanwhile, the grille and headlights feature a new Tritan Satin finish. For a sporty touch, a set of new 22-inch machined wheels come finished in high-gloss black.
Inside, the 2027 Chevrolet Traverse High Country continues to offer earthy tones. It features premium materials in Jet Black with Natural Tan accents. These include Natural Tan-edged seatbelts and debossed front seat headrests. Heck, the interior even comes with real wood trim! Chevy also added some extra tech features to the 2027 Traverse. These include an interior camera and Cabin Glance, the latter of which allows you to check on rear occupants from the main touchscreen. On certain trims, the surround-view camera doubles as a 360-degree dash cam when the vehicle is on. You can also watch and save video footage taken by plugging in a USB drive. Additionally, the Security Recording function can automatically start recording footage when something triggers the alarm.
Every 2027 Traverse comes standard with a 2.5-liter turbo-four with 328 hp and 326 lb-ft of torque. It can tow up to 5,000 pounds when properly equipped. On the other hand, maximum cargo volume with the second and third rows folded checks in at 98 cubic feet. Every trim comes standard with a 17.7-inch touchscreen and the Chevy Safety Assist suite of driver assistance features. Super Cruise is available as an optional feature, but requires a subscription after three years.
Production of the Traverse High Country starts this September at General Motors’ Lansing Delta Township Assembly plant.
