Toyota’s TRD Pro models always have a trim-specific exterior color. Last year, it was Wave Maker. This year, the 2027 Toyota TRD Pro models gain two of them! For the Tundra, Tacoma, and Sequoia, it’s Honeycomb. Meanwhile, the 2027 4Runner TRD Pro receives an exclusive exterior color: Hot Honey. Unfortunately, it’s hard to differentiate it from the color that its siblings receive.
Every 2027 Toyota TRD Pro model receives model-specific tweaks. Additionally, all of them come standard with the most potent powertrain option available: the powerful i-FORCE MAX hybrid system. In the Tacoma and 4Runner, that couples a 2.4-liter turbo-four to an electric motor, a 1.87-kWh nickel-metal-hydride battery, and an eight-speed automatic transmission. Total system output checks in at 326 hp and 465 lb-ft of torque.
On the larger Tundra and Sequoia TRD Pro variants, Toyota swaps the four-cylinder out for a 3.4-liter twin-turbo V6. Meanwhile, the eight-speed automatic gets swapped for a 10-speed unit. Toyota system output in this version? A whopping 437 hp and 583 lb-ft. Not enough? Add the TRD Performance Package, which increases output further to 469 hp. That’s more than the Lexus LX 700h with the same powertrain. For 2027, the Tundra and Sequoia TRD Pro also include Fox QS3 shocks tuned specifically for each vehicle. Additionally, the Tundra now has available ISO-dynamic front seats designed to help support comfort and stability during off-road driving. This feature was first introduced in the smaller Tacoma TRD Pro. However, it remains exclusive to the trucks since neither the Sequoia nor the 4Runner offers it.
Expect the 2027 Toyota TRD Pro models to go on sale later this year. Unlike the Tundra and Sequoia, which received notable updates, the 4Runner and Tacoma should carry over unchanged. Prices should remain similar to last year on most models
