2027 Nissan Frontier Remains a Strong Value

Nissan continues to play a strong value game with the 2027 Frontier. Starting at $34,235 for a base King Cab model or $35,635 for a base crew cab, it’s a heck deal. Even more so when you consider all the standard driver assistance tech it comes with. Yes, it comes with more stuff than the Toyota Tacoma does with its Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 suite. The Frontier also includes blind spot monitor, rear cross-traffic alert, rear automatic emergency braking, and rear parking sensors. On the multimedia front, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard alongside an eight-inch touchscreen. Moving up to a higher trim with a 12.3-inch touchscreen adds wireless smartphone mirroring.

Every 2027 Nissan Frontier comes standard with a 3.8-liter V6 paired to a nine-speed automatic transmission. Output checks in at 310 hp and 281 lb-ft of torque. As before, the PRO-X and PRO-4X trims include Bilstein shocks and all-terrain tires. The latter also has an option for more aggressive off-road rubber, and it includes extra skid plates. Additionally, the PRO models have the most ground clearance at 9.8 inches. Max towing capacity checks in at 7,150 pounds. However, that only applies to the 2WD S trim with a King Cab.

Want the rugged look without the off-road goodies? Go for the Sport Edition. For an extra $990 more on the SV trim, it adds a black exterior accents, LED fog lights, front accent lighting, and 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires. Inside, the Sport Edition includes yellow accent stitching. To complete the look, Sport badges on the bed and tailgate are also included. Other changes for 2027 include a new Alpine Metallic exterior color and upgraded wireless charger. The Moonroof package is also now available on the PRO-X and PRO-4X trims alongside the Convenience package.
