2026 Lexus ES: Yep, the EV is Cheaper

Lexus has officially published pricing for the 2026 ES lineup. The surprise? The battery-electric model is cheaper than the hybrid variant. Additionally, the Luxury trim is exclusive only to the EV. To recap, the latest ES rides on an updated TNGA-K platform designed for both hybrids and EVs.

So, how much does the 2026 Lexus ES cost? Not much, considering how big it’s gotten. The base ES 350e starts at $48,795 for the base Premium trim. That gets you a single-motor FWD large luxury sedan with 221 hp. Slotting above that, the ES 350e Luxury with all the bells and whistles costs $57,195. Meanwhile, the ES 500e, which has a dual-motor AWD setup and 338 hp, starts at $51,795 for the Premium trim. The Luxury trim for that variant is the most expensive ES at $60,195.

Lexus estimates that the ES 350e will have a driving range of 307 miles with the standard 19-inch alloy wheels. Opt for the 21-inch wheels, and the driving range drops to 292 miles. On the other hand, the ES 500e has a 276-mile driving range rating when equipped with the smaller wheels, or 272 miles with the 21-inch wheels. However, recent tests of the ES’s sibling vehicles found surprisingly efficient EVs that go farther than their official EPA-estimated driving range ratings suggest.

For those who want the hybrid, the ES 350h uses the sixth-generation system. It couples a 2.5-liter I-4 with two electric motors, a planetary gear set, and a small traction battery. AWD variants add a third electric motor on the rear axle, but total system output for both stands at 243 hp. However, the ES 350h costs $2,200 more than the ES 350e, which is $50,795 for the Premium trim. Add $1,600 for AWD on the ES 350h. Finally, the ES 350h Premium+ costs $52,395 for FWD or $55,795 for AWD.
