The 2027 Nissan Pathfinder throws it back with a new special edition that brings a bit of the past to the present. In celebration of the nameplate’s 40 years, this cool new model features a two-tone black and burgundy TailorFit upholstery. This pays tribute to the 1987 Pathfinder, which featured a red cloth interior. Additionally, the dash features a special edition badge on the dash.
On the outside, the 2027 Nissan Pathfinder special edition comes with many unique details. These include a special edition badge on the C-pillar, black 20-inch alloy wheels, and red accents on the tailgate’s Pathfinder badge. The grille also includes red accents. Furthermore, going with the special edition comes with more standard equipment. These include a panoramic moonroof, second-row captain’s chairs, and a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system.

Meanwhile, the rest of the lineup remains unchanged. This includes the range-topping Platinum trim and off-road-inspired Rock Creek model. The latter also comes with all-terrain tires, an off-road-tuned suspension, and model-specific exterior styling details. All Pathfinder models use a 3.5-liter V6 engine paired to a nine-speed automatic transmission. Most models have 284 hp and 259 lb-ft of torque. On the other hand, the Rock Creek has 295 hp and 370 lb-ft on premium fuel. Meanwhile, towing capacity tops out at 6,000 pounds.
Pricing starts at $41,575 for the base S trim with FWD. Add $2,000 for AWD models. The top-of-the-line Platinum trim checks in at $51,465 with FWD or $53,465 with AWD. That new special edition costs $48,965 for front-drive variants or $50,965 with AWD. Not bad considering all of the extras you get! We think this is the one to get. Loaded enough to feel premium yet priced aggressively just below the range-topping model. Moreover, the special edition brings added uniqueness for reasonable amount of cash.
