2026 Kia EV6 Has a Lower Price Tag

Kia has finally announced the 2026 EV6 with several key changes. First, the high-performance GT model has exited the building. That’s right, the 641-hp all-electric rocket is no longer available. This leaves the dual-motor AWD model with 320 hp and 446 lb-ft of torque as the most powerful EV6 available in the U.S.

The big headline? The 2026 Kia EV6 has a lower starting price. At $39,445 for the base Light Standard Range RWD model, it’s $5,000 less than last year. At the top of the lineup, the GT-Line AWD now costs $54,545, a decrease of $5,900 from its previous price. Generally, most EV6 trims are priced at around $5,000 to $5,500 lower than their original prices. However, that still makes it more expensive than the mechanically related Hyundai Ioniq 5, which starts at $36,600 for the SE Standard Range and tops out at $50,575 for the Limited AWD. Other competitors also cost less, including the Toyota bZ and Subaru Solterra, both of which manage to stay under $50,000 fully loaded. Meanwhile, the Honda Prologue and Chevrolet Equinox cost similar money at the low end, but top out at around $51,000.

Other than the price cut, the 2026 Kia EV6 receives new exterior and interior colors. Wolf Gray and Glacier White Pearl replace Ivory Silver. Additionally, the two-tone Hunter Green/Misty Gray interior has been replaced by a Saturn Black/Mild Toffee Brown combo. The two new exterior colors also offer a two-tone variant on the GT-Line models thanks to a contrasting black roof.

Every 2026 EV6 now includes plug & charge, simplifying the DC charging process in public. It also includes J1772 and CCS to NACS adapters, allowing drivers to juice up at older CCS1-native stations. Additionally, the standard dual-voltage charging cable provides additional charging flexibility when plugging in at home.
