Although SUVs continue to dominate, other body styles are still in the mix in this list of future cars for 2026. Here are 15 models, all of which are priced or could potentially start under $100,000.

Looking for an affordable small SUV? The 2027 Kia Seltos is one to look forward to, thanks to its aggressive new looks and an available hybrid powertrain. Think of this as a shrunken Telluride with seating for five in a city-friendly package.
2027 Chevrolet Bolt
One of the future cars to look forward to in 2026 is the new Chevrolet Bolt. Starting at less than $30,000, this reborn EV arrives with quicker DC charging, an estimated driving range rating of 255 miles, and loads of tech. Plus, a standard NACS charging port means more convenience for long drives.
2026 Subaru Uncharted/Toyota C-HR
The smallest EV co-developed by Toyota and Subaru offers over 300 miles of driving range for around $36,000. Provided you get the base Premium FWD trim of the Subaru version, that is. The C-HR costs a little bit more because it comes with more standard equipment, more power, and AWD.
2027 Mercedes-Benz GLB
The GLB returns in two flavors: hybrid or EV. Built on the same architecture as the CLA sedan, this small SUV promises over 300 miles of driving range and 800-volt DC charging capabilities. It also features MB.OS, Mercedes’ new infotainment system.

2027 Nissan Rogue
A new generation Nissan Rogue debuts this year with the latest iteration of the e-Power series hybrid system. Essentially an EV with a generator, the e-Power uses the gas engine strictly to produce electricity, which powers a small battery and an electric motor.
Future Cars 2026: Rivian R2
Perhaps one of the most anticipated vehicles of 2026, the Rivian R2 has its sights set on the Tesla Model Y. This new EV promises rugged performance and over 300 miles of driving range. Additionally, the least expensive variant starts at around $45,000.
2026 Subaru Trailseeker/Toyota bZ Woodland
Subaru’s first in-house EV is once again co-developed with Toyota using the same underpinnings as the Solterra. Priced under $50,000 for a fully loaded model, the Trailseeker and its twin, the bZ Woodland, offer standard AWD, 375 hp, and up to 280 miles of driving range. Since it’s a wagon, both EVs are also surprisingly spacious, making them super practical options.
Future Cars 2026: 2027 Volvo EX60
One of the most important future cars for 2026, the Volvo EX60 aims to bring more safety innovations and a driving range of over 400 miles. It also features an 800-volt charging architecture.
2027 BMW iX3 and i3
The BMW iX3 and i3 launch the Neueu Klasse lineup, featuring an 800-volt architecture and an expected driving range of over 400 miles. In addition to the standard models, BMW’s M division is also concocting high-performance variants of both the SUV and sedan.
2026 Jeep Recon
Think of the Jeep Recon as an all-electric take on the Wrangler. With 650 hp and 620 lb-ft of torque from its dual-motor setup, it can hit 60 mph in 3.5 seconds. However, keep in mind that the Recon’s driving range is only 250 miles. Additionally, the most capable model drops that number down even more to around 230 miles.
2027 Mercedes-Benz GLC 400 EV
Mercedes’ compact luxury SUV gains an all-electric variant with a 483-hp dual motor AWD setup. Moreover, it promises over 400 miles of driving range and an 800-volt architecture for super quick DC charging. Expect more variants like an AMG variant to also follow suit, as well as less expensive single-motor models.
Future Cars 2026: Hyundai Ioniq 6 N
Hyundai’s all-electric super sedan arrives to take on the Tesla Model 3 Performance. In addition to 641 hp from its dual-motor AWD setup, the Ioniq 6 N includes adaptive dampers and an electronically-controlled limited-slip differential. Meanwhile, it also includes tricks like drift mode and fake exhaust noises to bring some drama to the drive.
2027 Kia Telluride
Kia’s segment-busting Telluride arrives with more torque for its second generation and an evolutionary yet unmistakable look. Additionally, the Telluride now has a hybrid option, giving it a more powerful and more efficient option.
2027 Toyota Highlander
The 2027 Highlander returns as Toyota’s first three-row EV. It has up to 320 miles of driving range, an NACS charging port, and all of Toyota’s latest tech features. Plus, the Highlander features two well-equipped trims, meaning it brings plenty of goodies right from the start.
