The 2027 Kia Telluride has officially debuted. However, Kia didn’t spill all the details. We’ll need to wait until the 2025 Los Angeles Auto Show next week to get everything under the skin. For now, let’s take a look at its new design, which stays true to the original and modernizes it. Versus its predecessor, the new Telluride is 2.3 inches longer and an inch taller. Its wheelbase also grew nearly three inches.
2027 Kia Telluride: Ruggedly Premium
One look at the 2027 Kia Telluride and you won’t mistake it for anything else. The boxy exterior returns, only this time designers refined it further while retaining its identity. Clean lines and complement the vertical headlights and taillights, making this easy to identify as a Telluride. Yes, the orange LED daytime running lights return, preserving this Kia’s signature lightning element. Meanwhile, the grille and headlights merge together as if they’re a single unit. However, this new face may cause some controversy because it’s so in your face. Thankfully, it keeps Kia’s tiger face design.
The X-Pro model doubles down on the rugged looks. It increases the ground clearance to 9.1 inches and adds several key design changes. These include raised roof rails, blackout wheel arches, a mesh front grille, a squared off black lower bumper, and front and rear recover hooks. Additionally, the X-Pro has unique ground lighting and a liftgate light. Overall, the new Telluride gives off Range Rover vides, even in its most off-road-y form, which isn’t a bad thing.

Sophistication, Modernized
Step inside the 2027 Telluride and you’re greeted with a modern interior packed with tech. It’s also packed with unique details like mesh headrests and a folding luggage table. Up front, you find Kia’s typical layout, featuring two large displays under a single housing. The SX Prestige trim also appears to have real wood trim (or at least wood-effect), which enhances its class look. Additionally, Kia said it improved access in and out of the second and third rows. On the other hand, headroom increases by about 0.5 inches on models equipped with the available sunroof.
To further differentiate the off-road-focused models like the X-Pro, Kia added earthy interior colors. These include deep khaki, saddle brown, and black. Meanwhile, the more luxurious models have feature combinations like Deep Navy with Tuscan Umber and Blackberry with Sand Beige. These are then paired with a choice of 10 exterior colors, including Black Jade Green and Terrain Brown. Kia will also offer the 2027 Telluride matte options.
Expect the 2027 Kia Telluride to arrive in early 2026.
