Subaru sports cars get another cool color for 2026. Series.Purple out. In comes Series.Yellow, a new special edition line finished in Sunrise Yellow. This isn’t the first Series.Yellow for the BRZ. The previous generation model also had this variant for one model year in limited numbers. However, it’s the first time the WRX receives this treatment. Other vehicles to feature Sunrise Yellow include the 2015 XV Crosstrek Special Edition and two Japan-only models: the BRZ STI Sport and the WRX STI S207. In addition to the Sunrise Yellow exterior color, both Series.Yellow models feature yellow contrast stitching throughout the interior.
Based on their respective tS variants, the Subaru BRZ and WRX Series.Yellow variants come with welcome go-fast updates. In the BRZ, that includes STI-tuned Hitachi dampers, Brembo brakes, and a limited-slip differential. It also comes with matte-black-finished 18-inch alloy wheels shod in Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires. Output from the 2.4-liter naturally aspirated flat-four stays the same as the other BRZ models at 228 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque. As for transmission options? You’ve only got the six-speed manual, putting power down exclusively to the rear wheels
Meanwhile, the WRX Series.Yellow features STI-tuned electronically controlled dampers and standard AWD. It also includes 19-inch alloy wheels finished in matte black wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza S007 performance tires. Recaro front sport seats come standard, complete with a nice complement of yellow stitching and accents. Additional standard features include a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and an 11.6-inch touchscreen. Power comes exclusively from a turbocharged 2.4-liter flat four with 271 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. Like the BRZ, the only transmission available is a six-speed manual.
Subaru will announce pricing at a later date, likely to coincide with announcing the rest of the changes for the 2026 WRX and BRZ.
