Whether it’s shaped like a sedan or a traditional two-box look, if a vehicle has a liftgate and doesn’t have a long roof and a D-pillar, it’s a hatchback.

These come in different sizes ranging from subcompact to full-size. You have vehicles like the Kia Rio and Mitsubishi Mirage at the small end of the spectrum. On the large end of the spectrum, you have the Mercedes-Benz EQS, Kia Stinger, and Audi A7.
