The writing was on the wall after Toyota announced the GR Supra MkV Final Edition. Now, BMW has made the Z4 Final Edition official. To commemorate the conclusion of the third-generation Z4’s production run, BMW announced a limited-edition model based on the M40i. That means it comes standard with a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six with 382 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque. Most importantly, you can pair it to either a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic!
So, what makes the BMW Z4 Final Edition distinct? Several things. It’s finished in Frozen Black metallic exterior color and includes the Shadowline package as standard, doubling down on the blackout treatment. This limited-run model also includes a Moonlight Black soft top and M Sport brakes with red calipers. As for wheels, the front uses 19-inch alloys while the rear has 20s. They use a staggered setup with 255/35R19s up front and 285/30R20s in the rear. Performance tires come standard.

Picking the manual also adds all of the chassis tweaks from the Edition Handschalter package. That includes unique auxiliary front and rear axle springs, a specially reinforced front anti-roll bar clamp, and unique electronic control mapping for the rear dampers. Additionally, it includes reconfigured software for the variable sport steering and a unique control logic for the traction control system and M Sport differential.
Inside, the Z4 Final Edition includes red contrast stitching, leather/Alcantara-trimmed M Sport seats, and red piping on the floor mats. The door sills also have “Z4 Final Edition” inscribed in them, while the seatbelts have the M Brand’s tricolor theme. Starting at $76,675, the Z4 Final Edition comes fully loaded and includes both the Driving Assistance and Premium packages, as well as the Harman Kardon premium audio system.
Expect the Z4 Final Edition to arrive sometime in 2026.
