2027 Toyota Camry Carries Over Winning Formula

They say don’t mess with success, and that’s exactly what Toyota is doing with the 2027 Camry. That’s not a bad thing because this formula checks a lot of boxes for a midsize sedan. Under the hood, the Camry uses a 2.5-liter I-4-based hybrid system with 225 hp on front-drive models or 232 hp with AWD. As a result, it has excellent EPA-estimated fuel economy ratings of 52/49/51 mpg city/highway/combined for the front-drive LE trim or 50/49/50 with AWD. Going up the lineup continues the strong showing at 47/45/46 mpg for the SE, Nightshade, XSE, and XLE FWD models. Meanwhile, opting for AWD drops that to 46 mpg across the board for the SE, Nightshade, and XLE, or 43 mpg across the board for the XSE.

Every 2027 Toyota Camry also comes well equipped. Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 and blind spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert come standard on all models. Additionally, every trim includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Options include a head-up display, 12.3-inch digital cluster, a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a nine-speaker JBL premium audio system, and more. The SE, Nightshade, and XSE trims also include a sportier look than the more refined LE and XLE, especially with their functional air inlets. Furthermore, those three also include a standard sport-tuned suspension.

Pricing starts at $30,395 for the base LE trim with FWD. Want AWD? Add $2,500 to that sticker price. At the top of the lineup, the XLE and XSE trims cost just under $38,000 before adding any option packages. A loaded Camry XSE with goodies like a two-tone exterior color costs just over $43,000 before taxes and other fees. We think the best buy is the Nightshade with its blackout details. For around $36,000, it has the best combination of features and decent value.
