2027 Honda Civic

Honda has expanded the 2027 Civic lineup with the new Sport-L trim. That effectively gives potential buyers four variants to choose from. A hybrid powertrain is available as an option on the Sport trim, while the Sport Touring comes with it standard. Additionally, the Sport Touring now comes standard with Honda’s S+ Shift system, which first debuted on the Prelude. This technology simulates a performance transmission complete with holding “gears,” rev-matched downshifts, and enhanced engine sounds.

The 2027 Honda Civic Sport-L effectively serves as the range-topper of the gas variants. It adds leather upholstery, heated power front seats, dual-zone climate control, illuminated vanity mirrors, and silver interior trim. The 2.0-liter I-4 comes paired exclusively with a CVT and has 150 hp and 133 lb-ft of torque. The EPA rates the sedan at 32/41/36 mpg city/highway/combined on the LX trim or 31/39/34 mpg on the Sport and Sport-L. Meanwhile, the hatchback checks in at an EPA-rated 30/38/34 mpg.

On the other hand, the Civic Hybrid has higher MPG ratings and more power. It features Honda’s transmission-less two-motor hybrid system. This setup couples two electric motors and a 2.0-liter I-4 for a combined output of 200 hp and 232 lb-ft of torque. The EPA rates the sedan body style at 50/47/49 mpg, while the hatchback checks in at 50/44/47.

Pricing starts at $26,290 for the base LX sedan. Hatchback variants start at $29,490 since its base trim is the Sport. This includes the Honda Sensing suite of driver assistance features, a seven-inch touchscreen, and wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Want all the goodies? Step up to the range-topping Sport Touring at $33,900 for the sedan or $35,190 for the hatchback. That adds a nine-inch touchscreen with Google Built-In, wireless smartphone connectivity, a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system, and more.
