Subaru continues to keep pricing steady with the 2027 Forester being the latest to not see any increases. It follows the Crosstrek, Solterra, Trailseeker, and Uncharted, all of which retained the same starting price for the new model year. That means the base model starts at $31,470. This includes the EyeSight suite of driver assistance features and dual 7-inch displays with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
For us, though, the true base model in the 2027 Subaru Forester lineup is the Premium trim. Starting at $33,470 for the gas model or $36,205 for the hybrid, it comes with wireless smartphone integration, an 11.6-inch touchscreen, heated front seats, and a panoramic moonroof. An option package adds a power liftgate and blind spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert. Going up the trim ladder doesn’t diminish the value proposition either. The Touring trim, which comes exclusively with the hybrid powertrain, cost $43,020, less than many of its competitors in similar trims, which cost between $1,000 to $5,000 more. The Forester Touring comes with a surround-view camera, 19-inch alloy wheels, ventilated front seats, heated outboard rear seats, and more.
Finally, the Forester Wilderness now offers the 194-hp hybrid system. To recap, it comes with the same distinct exterior styling as its gas counterpart and 9.3 inches of ground clearance. Additionally, it features extra underbody protection, a revised final drive gear ratio, and a transmission cooler. The Wilderness models also have a max towing capacity of 3,500 lbs. and 17-inch wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires. For 2027, it now comes standard with a heated steering wheel and heated rear seats.
Pricing remains reasonable for the Forester Wilderness at $40,970 for the gas variant. Meanwhile, the hybrid powertrain bumps the price tag by $1,000 to $41,970. Not bad at all if you ask us!
