2027 Subaru Crosstrek Keeps Pricing a Strong Suit

The 2027 Subaru Crosstrek follows the lead of its battery-electric stablemates by keeping pricing in check. That’s right, the Crosstrek’s sticker price stays the same for the new model year. The destination charge does increase by $25 to $1,475, but that’s essentially negligible. Prices start at $28,470 for the base model. As before, the Crosstrek has two powertrain options available and comes standard with AWD. Gas variants use a 2.5-liter boxer-four with 180 hp and 178 lb-ft of torque. A CVT is the only transmission offered on gas-powered Crosstrek models.

Looking for a little bit more power and improved efficiency? The 2027 Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid has your name on it. It pairs the same 2.5-liter boxer-four with two electric motors, a small traction battery, and a planetary gear set. Total system output checks in at 184 hp. That’s an increase of 14 hp over the gas models. More importantly, the Crosstrek Hybrid boasts impressive fuel efficiency, with the EPA rating it at 36 mpg across the board. Hybrid models start at $35,470.

For 2027, the Crosstrek receives small changes. Ignition Red replaces Lithium Red and Pure Red, while Tidepool Teal replaces Alpine Green. Additionally, Sapphire Blue Pearl is now available only on hybrid models, and Daybreak Blue is available on the gas variants. Furthermore, the Sport trim is now hybrid-exclusive, and the power moonroof now comes standard on the Crosstrek Limited Hybrid. Unfortunately, the Crosstrek also lost a feature with the discontinuation of the surround-view camera option. On the bright side, the rugged Wilderness model remains available, but still no hybrid powertrain option like the larger Forester.

All told, a loaded Crosstrek costs just over $37,000 with the hybrid powertrain or the gas-only Wilderness trim. It remains a solid value in the subcompact SUV segment, considering its capability.
