First the Pathfinder, and then the Rogue. Now, the smallest and most affordable Nissan SUV, the Kicks, receives the Rock Creek treatment for 2027. Based on the SV trim, the Kicks Rock Creek includes a rugged new look. It features gloss black exterior details, a model-specific upper grille, and amber daytime running lights and accent lighting. To further add to its outdoorsy image, the Rock Creek model includes standard AWD, unique 17-inch alloy wheels, and a set of roof rails and cross bars rated to carry 165 lbs. That’s good enough for most outdoor gear, according to Nissan.
Inside, the 2027 Nissan Kicks Rock Creek includes more goodies. Rock Creek-specific TailorFit seats with contrast stitching, a heated steering wheel, and branded floor mats all come standard. Additionally, it comes standard with interior ambient lighting, rear automatic emergency braking, a surround-view monitor, and heated front seats. The Kicks Rock Creek also has Hill Descent Control and an Off-Road drive mode that allows for extra wheel slip to help drivers maintain momentum when driving on gravel, sand, or snow.
Value remains the strength of the Nissan Kicks. Starting at $24,335, it’s a hell of a value. Heck, a range-topping SR with all of the optional extras and packages from the factory, plus an extra-cost exterior color, manages to stay below $35,000. Meanwhile, the Rock Creek model offers the best value in the lineup at $30,385, especially if you need AWD. Every 2027 Kicks is powered by a 2.0-liter I-4 with 141 hp and 140 lb-ft of torque, while a CVT remains the only transmission available. AWD models also feature a multi-link rear suspension instead of a torsion beam. The EPA rated front-drive models at 28/35/31 mpg city/highway/combined. On the other hand, AWD variants are slightly less efficient at 27/34/30 mpg.
