Hot on the heels of the refreshed Tundra, the 2027 Toyota Sequoia arrives with extra rugged flair. Just like its truck sibling, the largest SUV in Toyota’s lineup now comes standard with Toyota Safety Sense 4.0 and the latest iteration of the company’s infotainment system. It also receives the same updated front fascia as the Tundra, rectangular fog lights, and features unique bumper treatments depending on the trim. Additionally, the available grille-mounted light bar now has higher output.
Perhaps the biggest news on the 2027 Toyota Sequoia is the new Trailhunter package. Like in the Tundra, it’s only available on the SR5 trim and comes with some neat upgrades. These include an upgraded suspension with Old Man Emu shocks, 18-inch bronze wheels, Michelin LTX Trail tires, front recovery hooks, and additional underbody protection. Additionally, the Trailhunter package adds Multi-Terrain Select, Crawl Control, and a locking rear differential. In terms of styling, you can distinguish models equipped with the Trailhunter package through their unique badges and Rigid Industries LED fog lights.
As far as other changes go, the 2027 Sequoia now comes standard with a built-in dash cam. It can capture 20-second clips of manual and triggered events. The new infotainment system also includes a standard 14-inch touchscreen. Furthermore, an enhanced digital key functionality allows drivers to use the Toyota app to access certain vehicle functions on compatible smartphones. For added functionality, every Sequoia now comes with a 2.4-kW inverter, allowing owners to power small electronic devices with their vehicle.
The 2027 Sequoia goes on sale in the fall of 2026, with more details coming later. We expect this full-size SUV to keep its price in check since it’s already one of the most expensive Toyota models available. As before, five trims will be offered in the Sequoia lineup.
