Toyota has officially revealed the 2027 Tundra, and it includes a few meaningful updates. The biggest one? A new Trailhunter package. Unfortunately, this isn’t as extensive as the Trailhunter variants of the Tacoma and 4Runner. Those are more complete overlanding packages. Available on the SR5 trim, the Trailhunter package adds an upgraded suspension with Old Man Emu shocks, front recovery hooks, Michelin LTX Trail tires, and bronze 18-inch alloy wheels. It also adds Multi-Terrain Select, Crawl Control, and a locking rear differential.
In addition to the Trailhunter package, the 2027 Toyota Tundra receives an updated front fascia. Toyota says that it helps reinforce the truck’s rugged character. It also includes rectangular fog lights and a new grille with a hexagonal theme adapted to each available trim. Toyota also improved the brightness of the optional LED light bar and Rigid Industries LED fog lights. Expect details on other trims to trickle out later on. The TRD Pro model should also feature a new exterior color, as it does every year.
Inside, the 2027 Tundra comes standard with the latest infotainment system that debuted in the 2026 RAV4, featuring a standard14-inch touchscreen. A dash cam also comes standard. Certain models include an enhanced digital key function with an active Remote Connect trial or subscription. On the other hand, models powered by the i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain now include a 2.4-kW onboard inverter. All models come standard with the Toyota Safety Sense 4.0 suite of driver-assistance features, replacing the previous Toyota Safety Sense 2.5.
Pricing for the 2027 Tundra will be announced closer to its on-sale date in fall 2026. We expect Toyota to keep the MSRP steady, especially since the truck can already get quite expensive. In addition to standard and off-road models, premium models like the Capstone carry over.
