BMW just gave M2 owners a way to turn their cars into street-legal track cars. That’s right, the M Performance Track Kit adds a bunch of goodies that turn an already potent sports car up to 11. Available in the third quarter of 2026, this package includes a manually adjustable front splitter for track use. It also forms a single unit with the front diffuser. Additionally, the M Performance Track Kit adds wheel arch diffusers and a scoop under the upstream engine oil cooler.
The front splitter and diffuser significantly increase downforce. Meanwhile, the aero flicks add more grip. Out back, the Track Kit adds a swan neck rear wing with an integrated brake light that you can manually adjust. BMW says this wing is similar to one found on the M4 GT4 and GT3 race cars. It features two available settings designed to maximize downforce on the rear axle depending on the track’s characteristics. A race mode moves the rear wing 50 mm to the rear, which significantly increases its aerodynamic effectiveness.

Under the skin, the M Performance Track Kit adds a threaded chassis. It features four-way adjustable rebound and compression damping and adjustable support bearings. BMW says this is the first road-legal motorsport damper system. Drivers can also raise and lower the vehicle by 20 mm, and is infinitely variable.
BMW developed the Track Kit with the help of M Specialist, drawing from their racing expertise and experience. All components went through aerodynamic optimization inside BMW’s wind tunnels. Jorg Weidinger, a record driver and BMW M test engineer in chassis development, was in charge of overall fine-tuning. As a result, every component works together cohesively alongside track-specific tires.
Although pricing hasn’t been announced yet, expect the Track Kit to cost a pretty penny considering its contents.
