2027 Kia Sorento Adds New Exterior Color

Kia has officially announced pricing for the 2027 Sorento. Carrying over unchanged, this three-row SUV adds a new color called Jade Black Green. It replaces Jungle Green, which has a pale shade. Jade Black Green first debuted on the 2027 Telluride and is a darker shade that mixes a dark teal with a traditional green. It also costs an extra $495, at least on the larger Telluride.

As far as the rest of the lineup goes, the 2027 Kia Sorento remains competitively priced. The base LX trim starts at $34,085. That comes with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 186 hp and 178 lb-ft of torque paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission. It’s well equipped, too. Standard features include a 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a full suite of driver assistance features. Higher trims include heated and ventilated front seats, a 12.3-inch digital cluster, heated second-row captain’s chairs, and a hands-free power liftgate. Range-topping variants also include enhanced driver assistance features like Highway Driving Assist 2, which has automatic lane-changing capability.

All in, a top-of-the-line X-Pro SX-Prestige costs $49,485. That gets you standard AWD and all-terrain tires. Additionally, the X-Pro and X-Line models feature an off-road-inspired exterior design to distinguish them from the rest of the Sorento lineup. Furthermore, the EX, SX, X-Line SX-Prestige, and X-Pro SX-Prestige use a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 274 hp and 311 lb-ft of torque. They also swap the conventional eight-speed automatic for a dual-clutch gearbox.

If it were our money, we’d skip the X-Pro trim and save the $1,000. Instead, choose the X-Line model with the 20-inch wheels with all-season tires. That gets you all of the rugged styling without the added tire noise. Additionally, skipping the all-terrain tires keeps the Sorento’s ride comfortable for all-around driving instead of choppy.
