2027 Kia Telluride Teased Ahead of Debut

The 2027 Kia Telluride has been teased ahead of its global debut at the 2025 Los Angeles Auto Show. Based on the two shadowy images released, this three-row SUV will look imposing and in charge. Despite being in its second generation, familiar design cues remain. These include the amber-colored vertical LED daytime running lights, which now feature a new pattern. Additionally, it features an updated version of Kia’s tiger face grille that’s more of an evolution from the current Telluride.

From the top, we see a dual glass roof setup just like in the current car. That means the 2027 Kia Telluride will include a standard sunroof plus a fixed glass roof on certain trim. If this looks familiar, the Hyundai Palisade, the Telluride’s sister vehicle, also has this setup. Its previous iteration also had it as well. Speaking of siblings, the second-generation Telluride’s upright and boxy shape gives it a closer link to its Hyundai cousin. That’s not necessarily a bad thing because the 2026 Palisade is a looker and feels more like a luxury SUV than a mainstream one. Plus, the Kia also appears to have adopted cleaner lines for a more conventional yet still commanding look.

Powertrain options on the 2027 Kia Telluride should also mirror the second-generation Hyundai Palisade. That means a standard 3.5-liter V6 with 287 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Meanwhile, expect the Telluride Hybrid to feature the new 2.5-liter turbo-four-based hybrid setup with 329 hp and 339 lb-ft coupled to a six-speed automatic. Both powertrains will likely be available in front-drive and AWD configurations.

Expect the 2027 Telluride to go on sale in calendar year 2026. Like the current model, expect assembly to happen at Kia’s West Point, Georgia, facility together with the EV6.
