2026 Lexus LS 500 Heritage Edition Pays Tribute to Iconic Sedan

Well, there goes another sedan. The 2026 Lexus LS 500 Heritage Edition marks the final model year for the brand’s iconic flagship. Limited to 250 units for the United States, this special edition model pays tribute to the vehicle that launched the Lexus brand. The one that put the Germans on notice in the 1990s with segment-busting refinement for a much lower price. However, the LS languished in recent years, seeing small updates since the current generation model’s introduction as a 2018 model.

Based on the LS 500 AWD model, the 2026 Lexus LS 500 Heritage Edition brings some unique design details. These include a new exterior color called Ninety Noir, which comes paired with 20-inch alloy wheels finished in Dark Gray Metallic. Inside, the Heritage Edition marks the first and only time the LS has a Rioja Red interior. Meanwhile, the center console features a special Lexus LS Heritage Edition badge and headrest embroidery. Standard features include a panoramic glass roof, a surround-view camera system, and a 23-speaker Mark Levinson surround sound system. Every trim also comes standard with a 12.3-inch touchscreen featuring wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 also comes standard.

The LS 500 Heritage Edition comes exclusively with a 3.4-liter twin-turbo V6 with 416 hp and 422 lb-ft of torque. A 10-speed automatic remains the only gearbox available. Lexus says the LS 500 AWD can hit 60 mph in 4.6 seconds. In addition to six drive modes, the LS 500 Heritage Edition also includes a standard Torsen limited-slip differential for added grip and cornering stability.

Pricing for the 2026 Lexus LS 500 Heritage Edition starts at $99,280. Not bad considering the generous equipment. The 2026 LS arrives at Lexus dealers this fall, but you’d better act quickly if you want one.
