2026 Lexus IS

Yep, the 2026 Lexus IS has arrived. The current generation, which first debuted in 2013 as a 2014 model, lives on with another refresh. This time around, it gains a new grille reminiscent of what you’d find in the latest Toyota and Lexus models. The rear end looks unchanged, save for an available black lip spoiler on the F Sport trim. What else is new? The IS now comes standard with Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, a 12.3-inch touchscreen running the latest Lexus Interface, and a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster.

In addition to the new tech, the 2026 Lexus IS features new “Forged Bamboo” interior ornamentation on the center console. This new trim is made of bamboo fibers, which helps create its distinct texture. Additionally, a new Radiant Red interior color is also available. A 17-speaker Mark Levinson premium audio system remains an option on the IS. In terms of exterior colors, the 2026 IS will offer seven, including Wind, a new light gray tone infused with metallic highlights.

For 2026, the only model returning is the IS 350. That means it’s powered by a 3.5-liter V6 with 311 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque. RWD models use an eight-speed automatic transmission, while AWD examples have a six-speed. Lexus said it optimized the electric power steering and suspension to better move with the driver’s intentions. It focused on delivering a linear, consistent steering feel across a wide range of roads and driving conditions. Additionally, Lexus paid special attention to smoothness and return motion control. The result? A more rewarding drive where deceleration, cornering, and acceleration flow together naturally.

The only available trims for the 2026 IS 350 are the F Sport Design and F Sport. Both include standard 19-inch wheels. Red brake calipers are also available as an option.
