Several important vehicles are expected to arrive within the next two years. From new generations of well-known models to all-new nameplates, competition remains fierce despite market uncertainties. Here are 17 upcoming models to look forward to from now to 2027. Best of all, many feature an electrified powertrain of some type.

Upcoming Models: 2026 Nissan Leaf
The reborn Nissan Leaf arrives with a new form factor: a small coupe-like SUV. Featuring an estimated range rating of up to 303 miles per charge, the new Leaf is poised to bring Nissan back into the conversation in the EV segment. Let’s hope it retains its affordable price tag, especially with its extensive standard features list that includes the NACS charge port.

2026 Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid
Joining the lineup in late 2025, the Crosstrek Hybrid joins Subaru’s hybrid lineup alongside the Forester Hybrid. Powered by the same 194-hp hybrid system that motivates all four wheels, this benchmark subcompact SUV pairs efficient power with all-weather traction.

Upcoming Models: 2026 Toyota C-HR
The C-HR returns to North America as an all-electric crossover with AWD and 338 hp. Essentially a smaller and sportier sibling to the bZ and bZ Woodland, the C-HR promises a fun driving experience and a 0 to 60 time of around 5.0 seconds.

2027 Chevrolet Bolt
(2022 Bolt EV shown.)
The next-generation Chevrolet Bolt marks the return of a pioneering nameplate. Built on General Motors’ latest EV tech, expect quicker charging and more range at a price that slots below the larger Equinox EV.

Upcoming Models: 2026 Subaru Solterra
Refreshed for 2026, the Solterra gains several major upgrades, a sleeker exterior, and a standard NACS charge port. In typical Subaru tradition, AWD comes standard along with 233 hp. Need more oomph? The Solterra XT bumps the output up to 338.

2026 Jeep Cherokee
Jeep brings back the Cherokee to the U.S. market, and it’s poised to bring the fight to its key rivals. Available with gas and powertrain options, the Cherokee puts Jeep back into a hotly contested segment, which includes vehicles like the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4.

Upcoming Models: 2026 Mazda CX-5
The new CX-5 builds on the outgoing model with evolutionary updates. That’s not a bad thing because the current CX-5 has a class-above interior and a drive that puts a huge smile on the driver’s face. Additionally, a hybrid variant developed in-house by Mazda will arrive in 2027.

2026 Toyota RAV4
The best-selling RAV4 arrives with three distinct flavors for 2026, including the new GR Sport model and the outdoorsy Woodland. Unlike its predecessor, this latest RAV4 comes standard with a hybrid powertrain in either FWD or AWD configurations. Additionally, a plug-in hybrid option is available, offering up to 320 hp for those seeking more power and the ability to drive in all-electric mode for short-distance commuting.

Honda 0 Series
Honda’s first in-house EVs are just around the corner and promise a clean-sheet approach to EVs. Built on a dedicated platform, the upcoming 0 series vehicles also feature a thinner battery design to help keep weight in check and maximize interior space.

2026 Toyota bZ
Out with bZ4X, long live the bZ. Yup, that’s the name of Toyota’s refreshed all-electric SUV. Thanks to an updated powertrain and a slightly larger battery, the bZ can now go up to 314 miles on a single charge. Furthermore, the NACS port also comes standard, as does plug-and-charge capability, expanding public charging options while adding convenience.

Upcoming Models: 2026 Subaru Trailseeker
Subaru’s first in-house developed EV looks exactly like what you’d expect it to be. An electric Outback, which is a good thing! Standard AWD? Check. 375 hp? Got it. 8.3 inches of ground clearance? Definitely. The Trailseeker is also one of the quickest Subaru models to date since it can hit 60 mph in 4.4 seconds.

2026 Toyota bZ Woodland
Think of the bZ Woodland as Toyota’s version of the Subaru Trailseeker. This means both automakers collaborated to build the two SUVs, with Subaru taking the lead on this project. Unlike its cousin, the bZ Woodland has a distinctly Toyota fascia complete with the same LED light bar found on the standard bZ.

2026 Subaru Outback
The Outback defines Subaru, and it knows it must get a new generation right. Even though this latest iteration looks more like a traditional SUV, it retains its wagon-like dimensions, just made blockier and more upright. Under the skin, 100 percent Subaru: two boxer engine options, including a 260-hp turbocharged mill and standard AWD.

2026 Hyundai Palisade
Unlike most three-row SUVs, the Hyundai Palisade embraces its avant-garde exterior. This latest generation backs that up with plenty of substance thanks to a new V6 engine and an optional 329-hp hybrid system. In addition, the new Palisade punches way above its weight with an interior that looks right at home on a vehicle wearing a luxury badge.

2026 Kia Telluride
(Current generation Telluride shown.)
Although more rugged than its cousin, the Hyundai Palisade, the Kia Telluride sets the benchmark for all three-row SUVs. Expect the next-generation model to also feature the same powertrain options as the 2026 Palisade. However, it’ll be wrapped in an off-road-inspired design that should further amp up those Land Rover vibes.

Upcoming Models: 2027 Nissan Sentra
The Sentra remains one of the last affordable options left in the U.S. As a result, the next-generation car has big shoes to fill, especially with the demise of the Versa and Altima. Unlike the Leaf, expect evolutionary changes under the new exterior design.

2026 Kia EV4
Among upcoming models, the Kia EV4 has the potential to change the landscape, provided it’s priced accordingly. Moreover, this all-electric compact sedan aims to take the fight to the benchmark Tesla Model 3 with an eye-catching look and over 300 miles of estimated range.

2026 Hyundai Ioniq 6 N
Following the path paved by the Ioniq 5 N, the Hyundai Ioniq 6 N evolves the formula by raising the fun factor even higher. This all-electric sedan also comes with an aggressive yet funky exterior, thanks to its curvaceous shape that you can’t mistake for anything else.

2026 Honda Prelude
The Honda Prelude returns, but not as a coupe version of the Civic Type R. This reborn two-door takes a legendary nameplate and electrifies it with Honda’s unique two-motor hybrid system, which doesn’t use a transmission. Although it’ll share go-fast components with other Honda and Acura products, including the aforementioned Civic Type R, Civic Si, and the Acura Integra Type S, don’t expect power to go beyond the 204 hp and 247 lb-ft found in the hybrid versions of the Accord and CR-V.
