Toyota’s hulking SUV just got some styling updates guaranteed to turn heads. The 2026 Toyota Sequoia now offers the striking Wave Maker exterior color for the TRD Pro model. Essentially a shade of turquoise, Wave Maker changes things up, following two shades of brown: Mudbath and Terra.
The TRD Pro isn’t the only model to receive something unique. The Sequoia Capstone swaps its two-tone black and white semi-aniline leather seats for a new Shale premium textured leather. It includes distinct inserts with a unique pattern and a brown stripe on the first two rows. Meanwhile, the Limited trim ditches the SofTex leatherette for real leather, while power-folding third-row seats now come standard on all models.

2026 Toyota Sequoia: Powerful All Arounder
As for what carries over, the 2026 Sequoia soldiers on with the i-FORCE MAX hybrid system paired to a 10-speed automatic gearbox. In this application, it makes 437 hp and 583 lb-ft of torque, allowing the SUV to tow up to 9,520 pounds when properly equipped. Part-time 4WD comes standard on the Platinum, 1794 Edition, Capstone, and TRD Pro. SR5 and Limited offer both rear and four-wheel drive options. For drivers wanting to get off the beaten path, the TRD Pro model includes goodies like Fox Shocks and a locking rear differential.
On the other hand, the posher variants have an available Adaptive Variable Suspension and a rear air suspension. The premium models also include heated, ventilated, and massaging front seats and heated and ventilated second-row captain’s chairs. In terms of infotainment, the Sequoia has either an eight-inch or 14-inch touchscreen featuring wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Every model also comes standard with the Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 suite and blind spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert.
Expect the 2026 Toyota Sequoia to go on sale soon, likely in the fall.
