Ford just added a second outdoorsy model to the 2027 Mustang Mach-E lineup. Called the Trail, this slots below the sportier Rally trim and competes with the likes of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 XRT. Available as an upgrade package to the Select eAWD model, the Mach-E Trail has a specially tuned suspension with passive struts and springs. It also includes an increased ride height, 10 mm up front and 15 mm in the rear. Furthermore, it receives the steering rack from the Mach-E Rally.
On the outside, the 2027 Ford Mustang Mach-E Trail includes several cool touches. These include 19-inch wheels wrapped in Michelin CrossClimate 2 tires straight from the Mach-E Rally. However, you can’t select the white variant on the Trail trim. Other design details include a Carbon Black lower front fascia and Mach-E Trail graphics on the side of the vehicle.

Inside, the Mach-E Trail includes standard 400W Pro Power Onboard. These power outlets, mounted in the back of the center console and in the trunk, allow drivers to charge devices and run small appliances using the vehicle. Additionally, a Mach-E Trail logo is also on the center armrest. Extra accessories are available via Ford’s accessories site, including Thule roof racks, an interior protection kit, and more.
Ford enhanced the value play for 2027. Every Mach-E now comes standard with the 91-kWh battery (88 kWh usable). Additionally, prices hold steady, with the base Select RWD checking in at roughly $40,000. Range-topping models like the GT and Rally cost around $60,000. It also has a new front motor with improved performance, but at a lower cost, allowing Ford to make the larger battery standard equipment. BlueCruise 1.5, a hands-free driver assistance tech, remains available on the Select and Premium trims, and standard on the GT and Rally.
