The 2027 BMW iX3 lineup has expanded with the introduction of the M60 xDrive. This performance SUV takes the Neue Klasse up a notch with a thrilling drive and an equally athletic look. To bolster this sporting mission, the iX3 M60 comes standard with the M Sport package, giving it a distinct look from the standard model. Additionally, the BMW Iconic Glow exterior package adds unique lighting sequences. It also comes with an illuminated M logo up front. Meanwhile, the side mirrors feature the M tri-color accent. Wheel sizes range from 21 to 22 inches in diameter.
Inside, the 2027 BMW iX3 M60 comes with a wealth of standard equipment. These include the 17.9-inch center display, BMW Panoramic Vision, and an M Sport steering wheel with a red center marker. The 13-speaker Harman Kardon premium audio system with Dolby Atmos also comes standard. Options include a head-up display and M Sport seats. Meanwhile, the M60 features two M-specific drive modes: M Sport and M Sport Plus. On the other hand, BMW Individual offers seats trimmed in PerformTex and Merino leather.
Like the standard iX3, the M60 model features a dual-motor AWD setup and a 112.2-kWh battery. In this application, it makes 603 hp and 645 lb-ft of torque, allowing the SUV to hit 60 in 3.9 seconds. Featuring an 800-volt electrical architecture, the iX3 M60 can DC charge at peak rates of 400 kW when plugged into a compatible charger.
To complement all of that power, the Adaptive M Suspension comes standard along with sport steering. It also includes specific spring and damper tuning, front anti-roll bar links, and extra front-end bracing. Additionally, the M60 comes standard with the M Sport rear differential for improved cornering and traction.
Expect the iX3 M60 to go on sale next year.
