2027 Toyota Grand Highlander adds Woodland Edition

The 2027 Toyota Grand Highlander lineup just got a little more adventurous with the addition of the new Woodland Edition. Based on the XLE trim, it comes with some neat features that add to its outdoorsy personality. These include 0.5 inches of additional ground clearance, a tow hitch, mud guards, Woodland-branded all-weather mats, and a cargo tray with pop-up dividers. A 120V/1500W power outlet in the second row, a removable cooler, and a heated steering wheel also come standard.

To distinguish the Woodland Edition from the rest of the 2027 Toyota Grand Highlander lineup, it features additional distinct details. These include black exterior badges and trim, black roof rails, and matte black 18-inch wheels with all-terrain tires. It is also powered exclusively by the Toyota Hybrid System with 245 hp. Furthermore, the Woodland Edition comes standard with AWD. A 265-hp 2.4-liter turbo-four is available on most trims with either FWD or AWD.

As for the rest of the lineup, Toyota discontinued the Nightshade Edition and the Limited trim with the 362-hp Hybrid MAX powertrain. That leaves the Platinum trim as the only model available with the setup. For 2027, the range-topping Platinum trim with the Hybrid MAX system comes with plenty of blackout accents, including the side mirrors, sharkfin antenna, roof rail, and grille. Meanwhile, the XLE now comes standard with a heated steering wheel and dark gray 18-inch alloy wheels.

Pricing starts at $44,155 for the gas LE trim, increasing to $62,070 for the Platinum with the Hybrid MAX system. What about that new Woodland Edition? We think it’s a great value at $53,375. The other well-priced variant? The Hybrid Limited. It costs $55,005 and uses the same powertrain as the Woodland Edition. Expect the 2027 Grand Highlander to arrive at dealers before the end of 2026.
