2027 Kia K4 Keeps the Value Play Strong

For 2027, Kia keeps the value play strong with the K4 in both sedan and hatchback body styles. This stylish compact sees minor changes for the new model year. On the sedan, the GT-Line and GT-Line Turbo models now offer a new red interior option. However, this comes exclusively with the Steel Gray exterior color. Additionally, the GT-Line Premium package on both the sedan and hatchback now includes black 18-inch alloy wheels.

Prices for the 2027 Kia K4 start at a reasonable $23,635 for the base LX trim. That gets you a lot of good stuff, including a 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a full suite of driver assistance features. Higher trims include goodies like heated and ventilated front seats, a 12.3-inch digital cluster, a power driver’s seat, and an 8-speaker Harman Kardon premium audio system. Certain trims also include a built-in AI voice assistant, Digital Key, Highway Driving Assist 2, and a surround-view camera system.

Most variants use a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 147 hp and 132 lb-ft of torque. That unit comes paired with a CVT. On the other hand, the GT-Line Turbo uses a 1.6-liter turbo-four with 190 hp and 195 lb-ft of torque, paired with a conventional eight-speed automatic transmission. Additionally, the GT-Line and GT-Line Turbo trims have a sport-tuned suspension with a multi-link rear setup instead of a torsion beam.

All in, a fully loaded GT-Line Turbo model costs just a smidge over $30,000 regardless of the body style. The fact that the K4 manages to remain under $35,000 with every bell and whistle, and an extra-cost exterior color, proves how good of a value it is. Most of its competitors cost similar or more money, but come with fewer features. This one hits the sweet spot just right.
