2027 Nissan Armada Joins Dark Armor Family

Nissan continues to expand its Dark Armor lineup with the 2027 Armada. Based on the SL trim, the Armada Dark Armor goes all in on the blackout theme. It comes standard with plenty of black or dark chrome exterior accents. These include the roof rails, window trim, grille, and lower front fascia. Additionally, the Dark Armor package includes blackout exterior badges and black 20-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, the 2027 Nissan Armada Dark Armor adds more goodies. These include black upholsery, a panoramic moonroof, and dark interior accents. All of these cost an extra $1,900 over the standard Armada SL. That starts at $66,565. The rest of the lineup keeps the pricing in check at $78,065 for the Platinum trim. Moving up to the off-road-oriented PRO-4X increases the price tag to $81,265, while the Armada NISMO costs $82,965. At the top of the lineup is the Platinum Reserve, which now comes standard with ProPilot Assist 2.1 will run you a cool $86,865 before any extra-cost colors or options.

Every Armada comes with a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 with 425 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. On the NISMO model, the horsepower rating increases to 460 since it’s tuned for premium fuel. A nine-speed automatic remains the only transmission available. An air suspension comes standard on the top three trims, with the NISMO featuring a specific tune. All models are rated to tow 8,500 lbs.

In terms of features, the Armada comes with Nissan’s Safety Shield 360 suite of driver assistance features. Meanwhile, the infotainment system has dual 12.3-inch displays on the SL trim or dual 14.3-inch screens on the Platinum, PRO-4X, NISMO, and Platinum Reserve. All models also include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Additionally, higher trims feature heated, ventilated, and massaging front seats, heated second-row seats, a head-up display.
