The Toyota C-HR arrives unchanged for 2027, but that’s not a bad thing. This second-generation model, which is now an all-electric small SUV, comes with plenty of punch. Its standard dual-motor AWD setup has 338 hp, allowing it to hit 60 mph in less than 4.9 seconds. Meanwhile, its 74.7-kWh battery gives it good range. The SE range with 18-inch wheels is EPA-rated at 287 miles. Meanwhile, the XSE with its standard 20-inch alloy wheels has an EPA rating of 273 miles. It can also DC charge at peak rates of 150 kW, allowing it to go from 10 to 80 percent in around 30 minutes under ideal conditions. Battery preconditioning also comes standard, while plug & charge is available via an active Remote Connect trial or subscription.
Both trims of the 2027 Toyota C-HR come well equipped. All models come standard with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, a 14-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a power liftgate. A heated steering wheel, heated front seats, a power driver’s seat, dual wireless chargers, blind spot monitor, and front and rear parking assist with automatic braking also come standard.
Moving up to the XSE adds even more goodies. These include SofTex/synthetic suede seats, driver’s seat memory, a power front passenger’s seat, lane change assist, and a surround-view camera. Traffic Jam Assist also comes standard, but requires an active Drive Connect trial or subscription. Optionally, you can also add heated rear seats, a panoramic glass roof, and a nine-speaker JBL premium audio system on the XSE.
Best of all, the 2027 C-HR is a heck of a value. The SE trim starts at $38,675. On the other hand, the XSE checks in at $40,675. Even with the optional extras, the C-HR stays below $45,000!
