2027 Toyota Land Cruiser Gains New Features

Toyota has announced updates for the 2027 Land Cruiser, which receives some welcome updates. That means more premium features and cool details that add to its retro-inspired look. For 2027, the Land Cruiser now has an optional high-mount air intake just like the Trailhunter variants of the Tacoma and 4Runner. It also receives a new black exterior color called Inked. For added comfort, the Land Cruiser now has optional heated and ventilated rear seats, welcome additions in this iconic SUV.

Other than these new features, the 2027 Toyota Land Cruiser essentially carries over unchanged. It still comes standard with the i-FORCE MAX hybrid system, making 326 hp and 465 lb-ft of torque. An eight-speed automatic remains the only transmission offered. Meanwhile, full-time 4WD with center and rear locking differentials comes standard, as does Crawl Control. You can also add goodies like Multi-Terrain Select and the Stabilizer Disconnect Mechanism. On the other hand, towing capacity maxes out at 6,000 pounds.

Toyota’s latest multimedia system comes standard on the 2027 Land Cruiser. It comes with either an 8-inch or 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. The Land Cruiser also comes standard with a 2,400-watt AC inverter in the cargo area. A 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, a 14-speaker JBL premium audio system, and wireless charging are available, but not on all trims. Meanwhile, all Land Cruiser models come standard with the Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 suite of driver assistance features. On the higher Land Cruiser trim, two-tone exterior colors are available with Trail Dust and Heritage Blue.

Pricing for the 2027 Land Cruiser starts at $59,330 for the base 1958 trim. A fully loaded Land Cruiser model with the Premium package costs upwards of $65,000. That puts it in the same ballpark as the 4Runner and Lexus GX.
